Description:
Absolute Pristine Starr Civil War Carbine. 54 CAL. 99.9% Original blue. 99.9% Original Case Colors. All screws have their original nitre blue. Brass has a gorgeous patina. Wood is about perfect with a few minute marks. You can see the impressions in wood at the upper corners of buttplate where the wooden u-blocks held the guns in the packing crates. Cartouches are perfect. You can see where the wood has grown around the lockplate and lower tang. Never been apart. Bore is Mint- Unfired. Serial no. is 19051. All sub-inspectors where they should be. As you can see in the pics, there is dried grease or oil all around the frame. I'm not taking it off. In over 50 years of collecting, I've seen only maybe 8-10 Starrs in this condition. Doesn't get any better. Please call 973-214-3407 with questions.
