Description:
Double barrel muzzle loading shotgun with all original wood and metal. No makers name but probably Belgian. The barrel is 38" long. Overall length is 55.5" and weight is 18.5 pounds; bore measures 0.840. The hammers work on half cock and full cock and the triggers work as well. Double keyed for heavy loads. There is engraving on all metal surfaces except the barrels. The Damascus barrels are brown with some minor pitting. The checkered walnut stock has shallow checking but no cracks and there is a small sliver of wood missing from the fore stock on the left side above the rear escutcheon plate as seen in the photos. The original ramrod is included. I purchased the shotgun from the family of the man that hunted ducks for the market. NMLRA Good Condition. Own a piece of waterfowl history.
