1847 Remington Jenks Carbine. 54 CAL. Really Excellent Plus-Plus to Minty. Only 1000 produced in 1847. All with Maynard Tape Priming System. Mule ear side hammer. I've always loved Jenks firearms. They are just the coolest looking. This carbine has 98% of it's Rich Barrel Brown. Case Colors on the lock, hammer, tape system , and lever are 95% with alot of it vivid. Bore is mint, unfired. Wood has raised grain. A few tiny pushes in wood, not to worry. Cartouche of Richard Paine is perfect. Brass has a gorgeous tone to it. One of the scarcest Civil War carbines to obtain in Minty condition. This carbine was my Dad's and has been around in our collection for 46 years. Hard to upgrade.
