Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1926, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 7oz, Chokes SK/M Serial Number: 217463 What a delightful little bird gun we have here. Some fine Parkers are made for shooting at targets, pigeons, and the like; mostly heavier guns with long barrels where long walks up and down tough terrain are not the order of the day. Then there are the Parker upland guns; light in hand, quick to shoulder, a delight to the eye, and deadly on the flush. This fine little Parker is cut of the latter cloth. Parkers remain the "king of the hill" when it comes to American made vintage double shotguns. When you examine closely the fit and finish on the Parker guns, it is impeccable. Parker was amongst the best at balancing their guns as well, with guns feeling much lighter in hand than the scale would indicate. Graded guns like this little DHE 20 ga., sn217463 made in 1926, are especially desirable and have been great investments that are a joy to shoot. At 6lbs. 7oz. and balanced nicely between the hands with its 28" Titanic Steel barrels, you could not ask for a better handling little 20ga., with enough weight for a steady swing yet easy to carry all day over hill and dale. We have just completed a full restoration on this gun including TURNBULL CASE COLOR AND TRIGGER GUARD BLUE, rust blued barrels, and a hand-rubbed oil finish on the highly figured stock. All parts are original to the gun, with the exception of the Purdey style leather covered pad that we installed at the butt. With mirror bores, healthy barrels choked SK/M, great stock dimensions, excellent screws, no cracks or repairs anywhere, this gun is ready for decades of use with no trouble. We “softened” the case color on the bottom of the action to give the gun a vintage look. It just looks more natural this way. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED GUN WITH A 90 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY, the action and forend iron having been stripped to the smallest part, Ultrasonic cleaned, all parts inspected for function and integrity, properly lubricated, and reassembled, ready for another 96 years of service! One of 1500 or so DHE 20ga. guns ever produced, and one of only 564 made with 28” barrels, it is not an easy gun to find in such fine condition. Only 3% of the D Grade guns had Single Selective Triggers, so this is a RARE opportunity (likely less than a few hundred ever made) if you like single triggers. This gun has a Miller Single Selective trigger..the best SST ever devised. See the specifications below. The gun is tight as new and without flaw. Look the photos over closely and you will see an exceptional Parker at an affordable price. Thanks for looking!
