This rare 16 inch Short Rifle looks as though it has had a very rough life. Maybe dragged behind a truck? The bore also looks like 16 inches of gravel road! The metal on the frame is a little pitted. The wood is rough. Dust cover is a replacement. Butt plate is loose.The gun letters as a carbine. A lot of short rifles and carbines went to South America. Most likely came back across the border in pieces with a batch of other guns. When they were reassembled, someone wasn't paying attention. 44 WCF. 16 inch OBFM. If you are looking for an old Winchester with a story to tell, this is the wall hanger for you.
