Scottish made percussion pistol by Thomson. Lock plate is marked ""Thomson"" and barrel flat is marked ""Edinburgh"". Bore is .50 caliber. Barrel is 6"" and overall length is 10"". Lock is a ""bar in the wood"" design, generally considered to be a strong construction method. The action works perfectly. The pistol have leaf scroll engraving on the various parts. Pistol has a captive ramrod. The back of the stock has a silver inlay for initials or crest. Very good overall condition.
