"34" blade made by Pasquale Company. Blade is nickel plated with 95% of the nickel. Blade is acid etched with scrolls and patriotic themes. The hilt is high relief gilded brass. The pommel is a eagle with spread wings. The grip is brass wire wrapped stingray skin. The scabbard is nickel plated with relief cast gilded brass mounts. The presentation reads “Presented to/ Captain Thomas Eides/ BY THE MEMBERS OF Co H 1st Regt L.C.C/ Oct 14th 1903" This is an extremely fine Model 1872 sword and one of the fanciest we have handled.
