Description:
This Winchester 1894 is chambered in .30 WCF, has beautiful 3X wood, octagon barrel, a W-6 Lyman barrel sight and a Lyman tang sight. It is a takedown. Blueing on the receiver is mottled gray to brown at about 50%. Blueing on the barrel and magazine tube rate a strong 95%. There are some small spots of oxidation on the front of the barrel (see photos). The barrel is marked " nickel steel barrel". There are vivid case colors on the hammer, butt plate, and lever. The wood to metal fit is excellent. And the bore is shiny and rates very good with no defects. The action is excellent. There are light handling marks on the wood, but there are no splits or missing pieces found. An accompanying Cody work sheet shows the confirming features of the rifle. It was shipped from the factory on 8/12/1898. I do not ship to NY, CA, NJ or anywhere in the continental US where this transaction is illegal. Shipping is $50.00. This gun is a transitional model with a smokeless barrel and is classified as an antique requiring no FFL.
