Model 63 22 lr 23" barrel with excellent bore metal retain 99% original blue finish the butt plate has brown patina with original blue in protected area .The pistol grip walnut and forend retain what appear to be original factory varnish which is somewhat higher glos than normal it is possible it was ordered with extra finish as we see on Winchester lever guns .the grain ,Petipa age of finish indicated factory finish
