For sale is an all original 1893 Marlin in .38-55. It has a 30" barrel with a full magazine. It has excellent rifling with no pitting or frosting. All the metal has a smooth finish with no rust or pitting. The barrel shows mostly blue turning dark with very little handling wear. "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" is marked on the barrel with "MARLIN SAFETY" marked on the top of the receiver. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1893". This serial number shows as having been built in 1897 and no FFL is required. The action works flawlessly. There is a small bit of color case hardening on the hammer and behind the trigger. This has the original walnut stock and forend with some scuffs and scratchesa but has not been cleaned, sanded or varnished. It will make you a great addition to your collection as well as nice shooter with ammo still available. It will only increase in value as this type of Western rifle is becomming very hard to find in this condition.
