1961 MINT LIKE NEW J.P. SAUER & SOHN 12GA. 28" "ORIGINAL SAUER" SIDE BY SIDE BLE SHOTGUN. Serial number "291XXX" and all matching. Dated 5/61 on barrels flats along with 12/70 (2 3/4" chambers) and stamped "Mod/Full" (old dried grease on flats is whats in photo so not rust). Mint bores on 28 1/4" barrels with raised solid checkered rib and 100% of the original blue with crisp barrels markings like "Made in W. Germany" (for US market) with ejectors. Beaver tail forend with no signs of use, crisp checkering and all the original case colors on metal inside and out including unturned screws. Boxlock receiver with unturned screws, all the original case colors, Pheasants on one side, Ducks on other with Sauer "Early man with spear" logo surrounded by "Original Sauer" and "Stoeger Arms Corp, New York" forward of triggerguard. Triggerguard is steel(mint) with single non-selectable trigger. 14 1/2" length of pull over pliable Pachmayr vent rubber pad. Buttstock is mint as well with plastic pistol grip cap and cheekrest with crisp checkering on wrist. Sling swivels excellent as well. Just like the day it was made.
