Description:
1926 Vintage Wichester Model 12 chambered in 12 Gauge. The Winchester Model 1912 is an internal-hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine. Popularly named the "Perfect Repeater" at its introduction, it largely set the standard for pump action shotguns over its 51 year production life. From August 1912 until first discontinued by Winchester in May 1964, nearly two million Model 12 shotguns were produced in various grades and barrel lengths. This 1926 vintage Model 12 is fitted with a 26 inch barrel (choked full), Simmons Vent-Rib, checkered walnut stock and forend, 2 3/4" chamber, and after-market recoil pad. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver are in excellent condition and show almost no signs of wear along the high points of the shotgun and very minuscule wear on either side of the receiver. Although refinished some time ago, the walnut stock and forend are still strong and show faint handling marks. The checkering on the stock and forend is stil sharp and crisp. The stock does have two hairline cracks on either side of the grip where it meets up to the receiver, but these do not seems to subtract from the integrity of the stock. The factory butt pad has been replaced with a Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. The trigger face has also been checkered as seen in the provided photos. The front bead has been replaced with a fiber optic red front sight. This Model 12 is in 100% mechanical condition.
