Description:
Danish Model 1867/96 11.7mm X 51R. Complete and original. Stock and action numbers match. The bore is mirror bright with sharp rifling. Have 45-70 cast lead loads out of this old military rifle. It shoots excellent! In the late 1860's the Danish purshased the rights from Remington to manufacture this rifle in Copenhagen at the National Arsenal. The tang is so marked and dated 1875. The buttstock has a brass button in it that has the unit marked on it. The action is tight and crisp with a nice trigger pull. There is an old original sling attached.
