This Quality Hardware Carbine's Inland Barrel Is dated 2-1944. The Carbine's Serial number is 4791606. It has a minty Inland Barrel with a minty bore. Inland Division Of General Motors was a main supplier of barrels for Quality Hardware Co. This carbine has the seldom seen detachable spring tube. This carbine is in minty condition! all of the parts are as new and correct for the serial number range and production date. The flat blued bolt is minty with very slight operating wear. This carbine shows no sign of being fired. The original finish to the carbine and parts would rate a strong 99% overall condition! The front and rear sight are original to this gun. The stock and handguard are in as new condition with the original finish fully intact. The unissued olive drab sling is a correct original sling. The oiler is also marked for Quality Hardware! This is as fine of a M1 carbine by Quality Hardware as you are likely to ever find! Quality Hardware Manufacturing Co. produced 5.9% of the carbines produced during the war. That breaks down to around 359666 carbines that they produced. That makes this a fairly rare carbine to find today in original condition.
