This Carbine's barrel date is 12-1944. The Carbine's serial number is 6705338. The barrel shines bright and is in minty condition. All of the parts are correct for the production year and serial number range. This carbine is in original as issued condition and is not a rebuild. The original metal finish is fully intact. This gun has the late style blued round bolt. This bolt shows working the action wear but no shooting. The chamber is still bright and clean. The trigger group of parts still have the original packing grease in the works! The stock is a correct late Inland stock that has the cut out for the M2 parts. This stock is the early variation without the pot belly. These stocks were standardized for both the M1 And M2 carbines to simplify production at that time. There is no M2 style parts in this carbine at all. This stock and hand guard are in as new condition with the original finish intact. It has the correct olive drab unissued sling. The oiler is also a correct unissued International Silver oiler for this carbine. This is a very stunning looking minty carbine for the military collector to display in their collection!
