**** SOLD ****. Excellent condition, early Smith carbine serial number exact match identified in Springfield research to co. H 2nd WV Cavalry. As the national archives have been closed due to covid, I do not have soliders name but once the archives open, buyer could contact a researcher (recommend Vonnie Zullo from the Horse Soldier) to perform the research and get the soldiers name.
The carbine is in fantastic shape with loads of blue remaining. Wood is in great shape as well with no notable dings, cracks, scratches. Cartouche very clear.
