Description:
This is an almost full (19 original, correct cartridges) of .38-45 Bullard manufactured by Winchester. Giles and Shuey point out in One Hundred Years of Winchester Cartridge Boxes, 1856-1956 that any “Bullard calibers in Winchester boxes are very Scarce" and have a rarity of R3. This two piece box buff box has the green top and side labels with the red Winchester rear sealing label. The box and labels are very lightly soiled with strong graphics and excellent “Bullard Repeating Rifle" call out with a written number on the front left corner and very light rub wear on the top. The round corner box is sound with very slight separation on the right top corner. The 19 rounds have the correct “W.R.A. Co. 38-45 BUL." headstamp and are in excellent condition with some slight tarnish and light verdigris on several rounds. An excellent and very scarce box.
