SOLD - Thanks, Scottt! 1929 Savage Arms Model 99G Takedown in .300 Savage with excellent bore, rifling. The serial number is 317883 and the forend, barrel, butt stock and plate all have matching number. This is a 92-year old hunting gun! The front of the lever boss is marked K. The left side of the barrel is marked .300 Savage with SP in an oval. The barrel has the original factory stamping. THe front and rear sights have been replaced with new blade and buckhorn drifted into dovetails. Equipped with Lyman Model 30 1/2 tang sight. The forend is in fine condition. Takedown latch works smoothly. The 24" barrel has an excellent bore with some wear spots and freckles on the finish. The receiver has little blue left as is shown. The lever shows some case coloring remaining and wear consistent with age. Buttplate is lined with SVG logo ata bottom. Wood is good with typical wear marks with a small tang crack professionally corrected - hard to notice. Will ship to FFL for $45. Cannot ship direct.
