It has a 7.5-inch barrel and a nice nickel finish, of which about 99% remains. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. No turn line is present and the gun appears unfired. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in excellent condition. The action functions correctly and very smoothly. The frame is a "black-powder" style, with the cylinder pin retained with a set screw in the front of the frame. Lockup produces no play on all six chambers. The trigger is crisp. The cylinder bushing is removable. This configuration was the only way to obtain an etched-panel .44-40 second generation Colt SAA and, believe it or not, is actually on the ATF's Curio & Relic list!
