Description:
The Winchester Model 61 was an American slide-action .22 caliber rimfire rifle produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1932 to 1963. Manufactured in 1957, this particular Model 61 features a 24" barrel, 18" magazine tube, walnut stock, ribbed walnut forend, and grooved receiver. This Model 61 has been reblued and the walnut stock and forend have been refinished. The barrel and receiver retain almost all of the blued finish with the exception of some various and light handling/wear marks. The walnut stock and forend show minimal handling marks and are in excellent condition. The grooves on the top of the receiver are clear of any imperfections and show slight wear marks. The factory butt plate has been replaced with a checkered black plastic butt plate. The factory marking are still more than visible. The slide action still functions 100% and is buttery smooth. The bore on this Model 61 is immaculate and looks like it just left the factory.
