Description:
This beautiful little gun was shipped in March of 1984 to George A. Strichman, who was Chairman of the Board of Colt Firearms from 1962-1987. Gun is in excellent condition and has never been fired and no cylinder ring. There is a small brass tag with Mr. Strichmans initials on it inside box. Left side of barrel is photo engraved with an American Eagle grasping a banner inscribed "John Wayne". Right side of barrel is decorated with American style scroll and the engraving on the ejector rod housing is accented in gold. Unfluted cylinder is etched in gold with a portrait of John Wayne on the left side and on the right an image of John Wayne astride his horse. Backstrap has John Wayne's signature in gold and the Red River "D" brand from the famous movie "Red River". Complete with leather lined box with a "John Wayne" brand on top. Box is locking and has brass handles and brass key. Also has Colt factory letter! .45 LC
