The Beretta 687 needs little introduction as it is one of Beretta’s most popular over/under guns for upland game or clay targets. The “BERETTA EXTRA” is the top-of-the-line for the 687 Model, with sideplated action, hand-chased engraving, incredible high-figured European walnut, a factory case and accessories. This gun, snp37105b built in 2004, is exceptional amongst the EXTRAS, as it is built on the scaled 28ga. frame…a noticeably smaller frame than their 20 ga. guns. Shipped from the factory as a two-barrel set; one the 28ga. the other a .410 bore, both 28” long. The Turkish walnut stocks are phenomenal with the figure in the wood better than anything you will see on a Beretta 687. The gun comes with 10 screw-in chokes, 5 for each gauge in Cyl, IC, M, IM, and Full. This Beretta 687 weighs 6 1/4lbs. with the 28ga. barrels and 6 1/2lbs with the .410 barrels, both balancing the gun just forward of the hinge pin. For those that love to carry and shoot the small bores on a baby frame, this is a delightful and bullet-proof gun from the oldest gunmaker in the world. The gun has not been shot much, maintaining a tight pivot on the trunions and the barrels tight on the standing breech with the top lever well right of center. The barrel blue is 100% with no marks or flaws, the action’s coin finish showing just a touch of tarnish, and the wood has only a few tiny, tiny safe marks. The mechanics are superb and fully functioning. There is not a thing needing to be done to this fine over/under. She is ready to perform. Examine the photos and you will see a Beretta that stands out above the rest and is priced to sell! Don’t let this one get by you, as it is the nicest one you will see anywhere near the price.
