Manufactured from 1938-1958, the Model 75 was an American bolt-action .22 caliber sporting rifle produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The Model 75 is known for its superb accuracy and has become highly sought after by collectors and shooters alike. The Model 75 was offered in two distinct styles, the 75 Target and the 75 Sporter. The Model 75 Sporter features a 24" tapered barrel, 5 round detachable magazine, hooded front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight, and select checkered walnut stock. This 100% original Model 75 Sporter is in fantastic condition and appears to be fired very little. The blue finished barreled action is in excellent condition for a rifle of this vintage with the exception of various light handling marks/scratches along the barrel, and slight wear around the muzzle and hood of the front sight. The select checkered walnut stock is in equally as excellent condition with the exception of various handling marks and small scratches throughout. The checkering is still sharp and free from any dents/dings. The grooves of the receiver are also clean and free of any dents/burrs. The original grip medallion is in superb condition with no chips or cracks. The original metal butt plate is in great condition but does show light signs of surface rust and wear. The bore of this Model 75 is absolutely fantastic and the rifling is razor sharp. All the mechanical aspects of this rifle function 100% including the bolt, trigger, safety, and magazine release.
