RARE Winchester Model 1906 MFG 1914!
Item Description
Firearms Unlimited LLC is proud to offer this beautiful Winchester Model 1906 chambered in .22LR. The Model 1906 series is a the follow up to the popular gallery gun model the 1890. This 1906 was manufactured in 1914 and retains 95+% of its original bright blued finish. The 20in round barrel only has some slight handling marks, and the bore is wonderful with only minor frosting. Wood condition is excellent. The original ribbed forend is in mint condition with only some handling marks. The stock is like new with an oil finish, however we cannot guarantee this is an original as the rifle does come with two stocks, the one not installed on the rifle has a homemade star in the center of it but being as it has the Winchester buttplate on it, it’s likely the original one to the rifle. The takedown screw is unmolested, a rare sight on rifles of this age due to mishandling. This is a 100+ year old rifle that looks in near in new condition, and with a smooth and tight action, will offer years of fun and reliable shooting, or would fit right in to an advanced Winchester collection.
