Remington's Model 1100 Sporting Series shotguns are designed to meet any need for the competitive shooter—to make sure they shoot well and look good doing it. The 1100 Sporting features a polished blue receiver and 28-inch light target contoured vent rib barrel with twin bead target sights. The American walnut stock and forend display cut checkering with a high gloss finish and a sporting-clays-style recoil pad.
The Model 1100 200th Anniversary Limited Edition features a C-Grade high-gloss walnut stock with Fleur de Lis checkering and a medallion in the grip cap. The high-polished blued receiver has classic American-style laser-engraving and 24K gold inlays. Every Limited Edition model has a special serial number with a maximum quantity of 2,016 being produced by Remington. The shotgun ships in a commemorative bicentennial box with the historical Remington timeline, a certificate of authenticity, and three RemChoke tubes
