Here we have a Remington 1917 chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The gun has been sporterized, with the original sights removed and commercial ones added in their place, and has been set into an aftermarket commercial stock. Overall, a not poorly done sporterization of a classic military rifle, likely performed when these guns were being sold as surplus. .30-06 Springfield

Metal Condition: "Fairly good for its age, the bluing is wearing a bit thin on the receiver and barrel and the rear receiver bridge has been left in the white where the factory rear sight was milled off.
Wood Condition: "Good, the aftermarket stock is nicely checkered and, apart from some flattened checkering on the underside, is in good shape.
Bore Condition: "Very good, still relatively bright, with sharp rifling
