Payment Types Accepted: Money Oder Description: Listing a old Savage 22 bolt action clip fed Sporter, model 23A, built about 1922, the barrel and receiver are all one piece. I guess Savage was always trying something a little different. Original clip , marked Sporter 23A and NRA match rifle, let the experts decide what that's all about. Looks to be a 23" rather heavy round barrel, depending I guess where one measures it .open sights , appear original to the rifle. Wood is dark but I don't believe it was ever sanded and blueing is pretty much gone.Butt stock has a metal butt plate with the Indian logo . I can't even recall when I acquired this , not to recent is all I know. I've way to many rifles not room to put them any more. She shoots only 22 long rifle and I've shot it seems to prefer CCI ammo over some other brands. I've read the 1922 model had dual firing pins which I think this one has. Read they were made up to like 1933. If your a Savage collector she's not 99 % but it seems to be all original , at one time I think I had a couple similar in 25/20 and 32/20. I ship only through USPS, so need to send it to a FFL or if you've a C&R she's of age. I prefer postal money order or bank cashiers  check.
