Rare Factory Engraved American Arms Co. Double .32/.22 Derringer by American Arms Co. of Boston, Massachusetts manufactured this RARE Swivel Breech, Double Barreled pocket pistol (Wheeler's Patent) from 1866 to 1878. It is estimated that only about 3000 of these were manufactured (ref Flayderman 8A-006). These derringers had superposed barrels manually rotated for loading and firing. This specimen combines rarity with condition- the barrels retaining the large majority of its blued finish. The brass receiver and brass backstrap no nicks or scrapes. The serial number of the derringer is SN 1207.
We specialize in obsolete and collectible ammunition. We realize that the buyer more than likely would end up trying the derringer. We have shot the derringer but will not guarantee such an old firearm. We are including (6) .22 rimfire short cartridges along with an additional (6) .32 rimfire short cartridges, for display.
We will pay the shipping charges for the buyer. However if you want insurance that will be up to the buyer to notify us and pay the additional charge.
