Here I have a wonderfull James Purdey SXS self opener, ejector shotgun ordered in 1907 and delivered in 1908 during the tutlege of James Purdey the younger and considered some of the best guns ever built. This is a best gun in all reguards and is still excellent condition! Few 16 gauge guns were made and this is a special one for sure. Comes complete with its original oak and leather case, accessories and makers label that is in really nice and high condition! Just a wonderfull original package. This is a grouse hunters gun....5lbs-14oz with sleek 29" barrels with original bores and chokes .006/.011 , 2.5" chambers. RST light and spreaders get the game! Stock dimensions are: comb 1-1/2 , heal 2-1/4 , 14 1/8 over checkered but and double triggers. Take a look at the wood on this gun... OUTSTANDING. Excellent condition, shows no cracks or chips....its outstanding in every way and them 29" barrels swing so nice! . This gun is flawless and shows no damage or heavy use. I have a letter from Purdey that shows the original owners name and info that matches the gun and gold sheild in the stock. This gun is high condition and has not been messed with by a non qualified gun smith.....buy with full return policy, if you don't like her, just pay return shipping and send her home.
