The pan and frizzen work very nicely with spring being just fine. The hammer spring does not work. It is loose as is the trigger. Evidently the spring is broken. Pretty much all there with the barrel bands, sling swivels, the iron furniture and even the ram rod. For being 220 plus years old, it is pretty good looking and has aged gracefully. It would look absolutely perfect above the fireplace. This smooth bore flintlock musket was one of the types of firearms taken on the Lewis and Clark expedition. Definitely a piece of American History! Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
