ULTRA RARE Early Johnson M1941 WWII Rifle!
Item Description
Firearms Unlimited LLC is proud to present this simply stunning Johnson M1941 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06. Featuring a 22in quick detach barrel and 10 round internal rotary magazine, it was designed to replace the Garand. The Johnson rifle was an experimental U.S military rifle manufactured from 1941 to 1944. This example is an “A” prefix serial number placing it in 1941, the first year of production. With only 21,000 total rifles ever made this is an exceptionally rare rifle. Condition is near new with a rich wartime parkerized finish on all metal parts, and only some minor wear near the muzzle. The wood furniture is equally mint with only some minor handling marks, and NO signs of cracking, which is a common issue on the later production rifles. The receiver bears the Johnson Automatics patents and proudly bears the Cranston Firearms Logo inside a triangle near the rear of the receiver. These unique rifles were made in Providence, Rhode Island, and most notably issued to USMC soldiers or paratroopers due to their ability to be broken down for ease of transport. This gun’s most notable attribute has to be the bore, which is near unissued condition. With a deep bright mirror shine, and razor-sharp grooves. It would be hard to top this rifle given the condition and the rarity. Every time these rifles surface for sale out of collections prices steadily increase, making them not only a centerpiece for the martial arms collector, but a true blue chip investment.
