We offer you a "ANIB" Colt New Frontier NF 3rd Generation S.A.A. Blue & Case Colored 5 1/2” .44 Special In The Box Manufactured in 1980.
This New Frontier was purchased new in 1980 and put away for several decades. A few years ago it was sent to Tom Sargis (Bozeman Trail Arms) for one of their action jobs ($300). So as you can imagine the timing and lock up are more than you could hope for. The condition is “Like New” as you can see. It has the original box as shown with the factory bag, protective paper, trigger guard tag, manual, congratulations letter, warranty center sheet, companion manual and the NRA card. The complete package is in the box which is hard to find anymore. The original box is in very fine condition with both end flaps. The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT NEW FRONTIER S.A.A. .44 SPECIAL”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2, 72 JAN. 19, 75” followed by the Rampant Colt logo. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number; 10846NF which matches on the original printed factory box label. Not hand written as you see with replacement non-original labels and boxes. The left side of the trigger guard bow has the “VP” in a triangle Verified Proof mark and a “K”. The right side of the trigger guard is marked with “Q”. The front of the cylinder is marked “846”, the rear is marked “44S”. The left side of the grip frame and trigger guard are marked with the matching serial number. The left grip is marked inside “COLT’S HTFD CONN.”.
