Description:
This is one of the most sought after Colt Commemorative Peacemakers: the 1973 Peacemaker Centennial 44-40 Frontier Six Shooter. This was the only pistol since the first generation Colts to bear the legendary moniker that was engraved on the barrel of all of Colt's 44-40 offerings: "Colt Frontier Six Shooter" on the left side of the barrel. The right side of the barrel is marked "1873 Peacemaker Centennial 1973." This gun is an exact copy of the early six-shooter with the nickel finish to retard the corrosive effects of black powder and the early "black powder frame" with the screw out cylinder release and was brought back just for this model. This pistol is tastefully cased and makes an attractive display. This Peacemaker is in pristine condition with no line on cylinder. The case is in very good condition, but is missing the commemorative plate that was originally present. .44-40 Winchester
