Description:
This is one of the rare Early Inland SG subcontracted M1 Carbines. Inland couldn't keep up with receiver production so they subcontracted some to Saginaw Gear. This 848874 SN Inland receiver has the rare Wide Tang and large font SG on the left side of the receiver under the front lug.
- Stock: Type 3 Inland with IO in the sling well and AAM on left neck. Inland started using Type 3 Stocks at approx. 812000 SN. (Roger Larson M1 Carbine Comprehensive Guide).
- Barrel: Inland 10-43 dated long skirt Inland barrel w/ a bright, shiny bore, good rifling, original crown.
- Barrel Band: Inland Type 1A unmarked
- Front Sight: Inland Sideways N or Z.
- Rear Sight: Original Inland Flip with S on the left, circle stake around the flip pin
- Bolt: Inland Blued Flat Bolt marked IO 1 with Inland firing pin and extractor.
- Slide : Inland Type 3 marked PI
