Scarce find - very nice Remington Model 742 Woodmaster semi auto rifle in caliber 6mm Remington, blued finish, walnut stocks with the Fleur de Lis checkering style, front swivel integral with fore arm cap, rear swivel at toe, aluminum Remington butt plate, ramped front and rear sights, top of receiver factory drilled for scope mounting, 22" barrel, correct caliber-marked detachable box magazine, pistol grip with "Remington Model 742" grip cap, push button safety, slide release on left lower receiver and mag release on bottom right of receiver. Barrel has a "BS" date code, indicating manufacture in January of 1969, thus making it C&R eligible.
CONDITION: All metal surfaces retain 97% of the factory blue. Nikon Prostaff P3 3-9x40 BDC scope installed using Weaver style rings and bases. Original front sight intact and rear sight removed to accomodate scope but was saved and will be provided with the rifle; front ramp missing the hood. Excellent bright shiny bore. Tight action with fully-functioning slide release, mag release and push button safety. Stocks are sound with typical hunting and shooting range use, with the fore arm having a 2" long deeper scratch on the underside. Grades NRA Modern Fine. Hard to find caliber and a must-have for the Remington collector.
