Description:
Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration.

We offer you a "CUSTOM" Winchester Model 1917 Chambered in 300 H&H that was built for an African Safari adventure.

This exquisite custom rifle started with a U.S. Model of 1917 action that was built by Winchester. Extensive customization was completed on the action, magazine box, follower, bolt, bolt handle, safety and bolt release. The bolt body is jeweled and was lapped in the action that resulted in a smooth and positive lug contact. It had a Timney adjustable trigger installed along with a 26 inch medium heavy Douglas air gaged supreme barrel. The bore is in excellent condition with no issues. The metal wears a satin blued finish that is in excellent condition with very a few very light marks from use. As you can see the stock is a piece of art in itself. The wood to metal fit is excellent and it has very nice figure throughout. It wears a seven panel fleur de le checkering design with all the panels being in excellent condition that were accomplished by skilled hands. There is an Ebony tip and cap with a Kudo carved into the grip cap. The length of pull is 13 5/8 inches over the leather Pachmayr recoil pad. It has fitted metal sling swivel bases as shown. The receiver is marked “U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / WINCHESTER / 529727”. The barrel is marked 300 H&H with the matching serial number 529727. To have this rifle built today would run over five thousand dollars easily.
It will be shipped fully insured to your FFL Dealer UPS Ground for $80 with signature required.
