It's been sold, on hold awaiting payment // This Ruger No. 1 50th Anniversary Edition Falling Block, chambered for a desirable .45-70 gov’t caliber round, is a unique edition of one of North America’s favorite single-shot rifle designs. The Farquharson-style design includes a strong, compact falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock and under-lever which is ideally suited for today's powerful cartridges. This rifles also incorporates a cold hammer-forged barrel providing precise rifling, sliding tang safety, Ruger recoil pad, and a steel grip cap housing a gold Ruger medallion. Both sides of the receiver are engraved with illustrious scrollwork surrounding a Ruger logo and “Ruger – Fifty Years – 1949-1999” in gold overlay. This immaculate 50th Anniversary Ruger No. also features a smooth, dark walnut 2-piece stock bears multi-point checkering at the rear and fore grips, in addition to sling swivel studs, a black rubber recoil pad, a blued finish to a barrel wrapped with gold bands near the muzzle and breech, an adjustable folding leaf rear sight paired with a fixed front sight blade, and an Alexander Henry-style forend.
