Description: SOLD: Wonderful Winchester Model 70 Post 64 Classic Stainless Short Action in .284 Winchester. Used very little, and shows very little wear at all. This is a New Haven, Quality Winchester Model 70. It started as a factory 7mm-08 and I had it re-chambered by John Gallagher several years ago. I have the original box also. I could never find a factory .284 I wanted to buy, so I made one. The Winchester Factory Barrel is 24" long, and countersunk for a recessed crown at the muzzle. This rifle has been fired less than 50 rounds. Lightweight Talley 1" rings and bases included.( but NOT the scope. Again, Scope NOT included.) Gun weighs 7 lbs 9 ounces with mounts and rings (but without scope). So to get fully laden weight, simply add the weight of your chosen scope. I added the McMillan pillar bedded stock, and changed the follower to a Short Magnum Follower. Length of pull of McMillan stock is 13 7/16".  Floorplate shows some slight discoloring, and this was not uncommon on some of these Model 70 Stainless guns. Feeds perfectly, Shoots great. Essentially has never been used, or at least never hunted with to be sure.  Has Stainless sling swivel studs. I also have some factory Winchester Ammunition and once fired 284 brass available if the buyer is so inclined. Thanks for your looking. Happy to answer questions to those with genuine interest.
