Description:
High Standard Model C .22 Short semi automatic pistol, manufactured between 1932 and 1938. This pistol was designed and built for gallery shooting and plinking in mind, with a blued steel construction, black checkered grip panels, and the Type I-A takedown, which consists a button on the rear-left of the slide, and a lever on the left side of the frame that allows the slide to be reomoved for cleaning. This model does not appear to have a slide-locking mechanism, and does have a thumb safety mounted to the frame. The pistol is in great working order with a smooth action, nice trigger, and a great bore. Some signs of age, light finish wear on common contact areas, and small dings are present and shown in the photos. Overall this pistol appears to have been lightly use and well cared for many years, and remains a very nice example of a rare High Standard pistol, and a very low serial number. This is a perfect addition to any collection! Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the pistol. No handgun sales in MA.
