Description:
This is an exceptionally beautiful fully-restored 20 Gauge Parker Trojan side by side shotgun.  This 20 Ga. Trojan was built in 1916 on the desirable "0" frame-size.  It features 28" inch barrels choked "Modifed" and "Full" with a solid rib and lifters.  While we do not know for sure who did the restoration it was very well-done, most certainly by a professional a number of years ago.  This Parker had to have been a very good gun with just light finish wear to start with, free from any major pitting, repairs, or damage.  All of the factory markings and sharp edges look just as crisp and clean as when it was new.  There is no visible pitting whatsoever underneath any of the restored finishes.  All of the original design lines are clean and straight, and there is zero dishing of the screw holes in the action.  The gloss blue finish on the barrels, triggerguard, and action lever is bright and beautiful, rating 97%.  The only deductions from the blue finish consist of some very tiny handling marks and a few tiny dull spots where surface rust had been removed previously post-restoration.  The solid rib is perfectly joined and tight to the barrels the entire length, and the matting lines and the stamped factory address/model name is still sharp.  The bores in both barrels are bright and clean, free from any pitting, dents, or bulges.  The color case-hardened receiver on this Trojan is simply beautiful, showing lots of bright and vivid colors on all sides.  These restored case colors show no fading whatsoever, and rate 97%.  The deductions from the case colors come from some small spots of rust that have been removed from either side of the receiver post-restoration, leaving some pin-prick pitting that is only visible under close inspection.  As you can see from the pictures, these deductions do not detract any appreciable amount from the exceptionally clean look of this Parker.  All of the screws in the action and elewhere on this Trojan are in great shape with nice slots, and all of the screw slots are "timed" parallel with the barrels that are supossed to be for a factory-original look.  It is the small details like this that really make the difference between a good restoration and an exceptional one.  The stock set on this Parker Trojan is beautiful and in superb condition.  Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and the metal-to-wood fitment is absolutely perfect.  The original factory checkering has been refreshed and looks brand-new with crisp and clean lines and no soiling.  The gloss clearcoat finish on this stock set is crystal clear and bright, rating 100%.  All of the stock hardware is fully intact and in excellent condition, including the black plastic factory-style buttplate.  The action on this 20 Gauge Trojan opens and closes smoothly and precisely without any slop, and the barrels are perfectly "on face" to the receiver.  When the action is closed the release lever snaps briskly shut and sits to the right of the tang-mounted safety, indicating that the locking lugs are nice and fresh with very little wear.  All of the controls on this shotgun are crisp, including both of the triggers that break nicely with a light pull without any excessive travel or grit.  This Parker Trojan is ready to give the next owner many decades of reliable service as it sits now.  If you have been looking for a classy, handsome, and reliable 20 Gauge American-made classic double barrel, this Parker Trojan would be a superb choice.  This beautiful Parker Trojan could be carried with real pride into any dove field, hunting camp, or skeet field in the world!
