We offer you a "Pre-WWII" Hi-Standard Model “E” .22 Target pistol with a 6 ¾” Bull Barrel.
The Model E was High Standard's Deluxe .22 target pistol and one of their highest quality achievements. Model E’s were manufactured from 1938 to 1942 with production being stopped with the start war. This one wears a 6 ¾ inch barrel that has an excellent bore with no issues. It has one magazine that is two-tone that shows no markings. The bluing on the barrel shows holster use that resulted in dull areas in the bluing. The left side shows some freckling ahead of the markings as shown. Overall the original finish is in very fine to excellent condition. The left side of the frame is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. / THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. / PATENT PENDING / .22 CAL. / LONG RIFLE”. The left side of the slide is marked “HI-STANDARD / MODEL “E”. The front of the grip frame is marked with the serial number “77336” and the bottom of the slide is marked “336”. The pistol will ship with the wooden case as shown.
