Description:
The item for sale is a Smith & Wesson Model No.1 2nd issue revolver. The revolver is in excellent condition. It is a seven shot revolver chambered for the .22 rimfire short. Featuring a nickel plated frame, blued barrel and cylinder with rosewood grips. Ironically, this little revolver was one of the most significant firearms produced being the first revolver to chamber a metallic cartridge and the first to be produced by the Smith & Wesson Co. This example shows little wear. The blue remains with a nice plum patina. The nickel exhibits only minor edge wear. The rosewood grips are remarkable with nearly all of their original varnish. This is an antique and can be shipped directly to the buyer. Please include $30 to cover shipping and insurance.
