Original Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1875 Officer's Trapdoor Rifle dated 1881 in excellent condition.
Guaranteed original, not reproduction.
Less than 500 of these rifles were produced between 1875 and 1885.
These were designed to provide Army officers with a high quality sporting rifle chambered for the .45-70 service cartridge.
Correctly does not have a serial number, Original finish, case hardening on the receiver is visible, no rust or pitting on metal, not import marked, no cracks on wood, great bore.
I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection. 6 -12 months layaway is available. Can be longer if needed - I am flexible. For layaway payments please use preferably personal checks or Zelle as they are much easier to keep track of. If either of those options don't work for you cashier checks or USPS MO fine too.
