Description:
This is a very early Remington Model 81 Woodsmaster rifle in .35 Rem. The blue is very strong and looks to be original with a touch of plum color. There is some blue wear in front of the mag and on the lower tang. The rifle has an early beavertail style forearm with checkering. The butt stock is very good with a repair that does not jump out at you. The forearm and butt stock have checkering that may or may not be correct (it looks good).This nice rifle has a 3 digit SN and still looks very nice. .35 Remington

Metal Condition: Excellent blue with a touch of plum color.
Wood Condition: The butt stock has a repair where a chip broke loose and was fixed. It looks like some finish may have been added.
Bore Condition: Very good but could use a cleaning.
Barrels: 22" blue.
Triggers: Single.
Stock Dimensions:
13 5/8" LOP.
Fore End: Early Beavertail style walnut with checkering.
Butt Pad: Matching walnut with a checkered pistol grip and a checkered steel butt plate.

Sights: Adjustable Lyman rear (Climbin Lyman) and a Kings front. Rear sight on the barrel has been removed.
