ARGENTINE MODEL 1891 MAUSER ALLOY BAYONET & SCABBARD. Post 1893 lightweight version with aluminum grip panels. Serial number matches steel scabbard. Argentine crest removed as most were ground off after import in the 1950's and 60's. Weyersburg three line address on ricasso and "Modelo Argentino 1891" opposite. "RA" for Republica Argentino on guard, pommel and tip of drag. Also "R" and circle/W and P/star stamped elsewhere. Original black /blue finish on scabbard although fading with white metal showing through. Good condition scabbard with a few dings and crimp on backside. Beautiful blade with typical German craftsmanship and original polish marks so never altered. Tight scabbard spring.
