FINE EARLY 1ST MODEL LUFTWAFFE DAGGER W/ WAFFENAMPT BY MAUSCH CIRCA 1933-35. 19” o/a with 12” blade with maker name “DAVID MAUSCH” and logo. Early style “Chicken Leg” Waffenampt with number “5” below logo. Silver plated nickel hilt and mounts. Silver grip wire and dark blue leather scabbard covers and grip wrap. Original nickel chain hanger. Matching 2 digit serial number on throat and guard. Excellent plus to near mint and 100% original. One of the tiny retaining screws from the side of the scabbard is missing but easy to replace. Scarce maker and seldom seen with Waffenampt. Bring back by G.I. and bought by us from descendant.
