Description:
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1953, .410 Gauge, 6lb 7oz, LOP 14 1/16", DAH 2 1/2", DAC 1 11/16"
Serial Number: 104365

Marketed as  “Everybody’s Sweetheart,” as well as “The Greatest Little Shotgun in the World,” at its introduction, the sleek fast-handling Model 42 soon became a hit with upland hunters and skeet shooters alike. A scaled-down version of Winchester’s classic Model 12 pump-action shotgun, the Model 42 is a sweet little gun that holds value in the collectors market.

This beautifully restored gun has all the great Deluxe Pigeon grade features including jeweled bolt and lifter, skeet forend with double diamonds, single diamond checkered stock in figured American black walnut with hand-rubbed oil finish, Winchester early type vented rib with doughnut posts, a matted receiver and fully engraved with hunting dogs and birds embossed with gold and bordered with refined chiseling in the Winchester No 5 pattern. Weighing 6lb 7oz this handy pump can be carried all day without any fatigue and look spectacular while doing so.
Internally, this 26" barrel exhibits mirror finish, 3" chamber and Full choke. With a crisp breaking trigger pull of 5lb and LOP of 14 1/16" this prized shotgun is ready to field.

The Model 42 was an expertly produced pump gun chambered for the diminutive .410 shell.  Winchester literature often portrayed it as the "the ideal family shotgun." Always in high demand, the gun was in production for just 30 years between 1933 and 1963 with approximately 160,000 made. This is the ideal pump gun, add it to your family today.
