No? How about the Browning BPS or the Ithaca Model 37? Yes, we thought you might have heard of those. Before there were those absolutely classic shotguns, there was the Remington Model 17. The 17 was actually designed in 1915 by the amazingly talented John Browning but due to the USA jumping into WWI, production didn't actually start until 1921. Even John Pederson had a hand in a slight re-design prior to production of this model. The Model 17 was only produced from 1921 to 1933 and ONLY in 20 gauge and only about 73,000 units were ever manufactured! The main feature of this early example is the bottom eject function, which makes it an excellent choice for both right and left handed shooters. This particular model came to us with a muzzle break. Why, you ask? We can only guess, but in its current configuration this would be an excellent shotgun for someone who is recoil sensitive or just wants a classic shotty to look a bit more tactical. The slide, safety and ejection features of this shotgun function perfectly, as it has done for almost 100 years! Priced accordingly....buy yours now!
