the model 55 is the only model winchester made where they made more solid frames than take downs.in fact only 18% or3669 were solid frames. they made very few 25-35 and even less of them in solid frame. ive only seen 1 other one in my life it. it has a 24" rapid taper barrel. it has no rust ! during the bluing process sometimes it just didnt take. . if you see another one buy it!! 660-730-8411. $ 75.00 postage and insurance. if you want a model 55 that nobody else has, this is it !!!
