Colt 1851 Navy Manufactured in 1850 chambered for 36 caliber ball with a 7 1/2 inch barrel a bright  bore with good lands & grooves and light pitting throughout the rilfing. The action locks & functions well and the cylinder is in time. The Octagonal barrel is has the wedge on top of the screw (proper for first variation) bears the marking "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY-" on top and the bluing has converted to a smooth grey & brown patina. The cylinder retains the Naval Engagement scene featuring a battel between the Mexican & Texan navy and the finish has converted to a brown patina. The frame bears the marking "COLTS PATENT U.S." on the left side and the color case finish has converted to a smooth brown patina. The barrel cylinder cylinder axis pin frame and backstrap are all matching however the wedge is not matching. This firearm is in fine condition and is covered by Dury's Lifetime Warranty.
